The past few weeks, I’ve been sharing my Twitter thread full of favorite reads. Some of these books I find comforting, and others I just can’t help but recommend. Either way, they’re all that good. So check out some more of my recommendations to add to your TBR and devour during social isolation.
Hey – if you’re reading during social isolation, why not support a book blogger friend?
I’m creating a thread with once daily updates of my favorite books with blurbs and my Amazon affiliate link.
I suggest other book bloggers do the same! 💜

If you’ve shared or are sharing your favorite books on Twitter, comment below and I’ll give you a RT! I plan to post weekly about this during this period of isolation, so I gladly will include your tweets in weekly roundups, too. Just comment below.
Here are the books I’ve shared since my last post:
I finished this one tonight, and it has feminism | the slowest of burns | nerds in love | fake dating trope in a historical context | book 2 coming out the day before my 30th. Thanks for a great read, @EvaLeighAuthor https://t.co/gmb8yJoVFR

My Year of Rest and Relaxation is a little weird, but the narrator was doing social isolation before it was a thing. Good if you enjoy reading about unreliable, often unlikable narrators | mental illness | early 2000s | NYC. https://t.co/XSoAaZLOo7

The best thing I can think of to do during this weird time is to read genres outside of my usual. It is quite refreshing.
Kate
I’ve been on a historical romance kick recently, but initially I was doing some genre-jumping.

Wow, this is a great initiative and reading is the only thing that is keeping me sane!

I’ve been trying to diversify my reading during these times so I don’t get bored. I’ll have to check out that fake dating indie
TtlyAdd2Reading
It is a good idea to read a variety of genres during this time.

I don’t use my twitter very actively. My blog articles go online automatically. But seeing the thread that is set up; love it! Great to see you’re supporting other bloggers this way.
I seem to not be able to read more now unfortunately. I’ve been sick the past weeks and my son has quite a lot of schoolwork that has to be done daily. We have a younger dog that still needs a lot of attention/training and the household chores are more work now with everyone at home fulltime. I often only find time to read in the evening and even then I’m not always able to fully concentrate. I really miss some ME time nowadays in which I could read nonstop for a couple of hours without being disturbed, lol.
I normally always have different kind of reads to choose from, so I’m a bit spoiled thankfully haha. I have (YA)fantasy & Science Fiction, non fiction/biographies, all kinds of different romance books.
Kate
That’s so understandable. I couldn’t imagine being a parent during this time. I have wanted to foster a dog during the time, but presently I’m staying with my parents (to escape the virus in the city and help out at a former job, which is an essential business), and my dad isn’t keen on it.
Whispering Stories
I’ve found I’ve been reading less during lockdown, I think it’s because I have a house full of people 24/7 who all at some point every hour need my attention.
Kate
That totally makes sense.
bookswithkathy
I’ve been reading less while in lockdown.
Kate
I’ve been reading more and I’m not even “in lockdown” since I’ve been helping out at a former pharmacy job! Only thing keeping me (relatively) sane.

this sounds like such a cool idea.. i will definitely look for your tweets to RT and like, and i will be sure to let you know if i join in the fun..

This is a great thread. Reading is the only consolation these days

Because I am homebound, my reading is much the same. I think for those who are dealing with so much change this is absolutely wonderful.
