Today, I’m sharing my most popular posts for the season of Winter 2020/2021. In order to schedule posts ahead, I have decided to define the season by months rather than dates, so these posts were published on or between December 1, 2021 and February 28, 2022.

9. Ophie’s Ghosts by Justina Ireland Review
I don’t want to go too much into Clara’s story because the murder mystery was very engaging even for me as an adult reader. But I do want to note that this book has a very important discussion on “passing” and what that looked like for Black folks in the 1920’s. I don’t think that as a concept I ever was aware of as a child and I appreciated seeing that representation and discussion in this book.
8. Top Ten Tuesday: Love Freebie
This week’s theme is Love Freebie, in honor of Valentine’s Day coming up. I decided to list ten romance novels I am excited to read in the upcoming weeks!
7. Witchy Book Recommendations
While I have always been interested in exploring my witchy side, it wasn’t until about a year ago that I started practicing witchcraft in earnest. I fully expanded my interest in things like tarot and astrology into an actual practice that leaves me feeling fulfilled. Of course, I only did it with the guidance of books and online resources. Since this is a book blog first and foremost, today we’re talking about books. Whether you’re experienced with things like tarot, crystals, and witchcraft, a so-called baby witch, or still in the broom closet, these books might be a great fit for your next read! These are all books I own, some of which I am currently reading.
6. #BookishAstrology – Books We Chose for #Aquarius Season
(Previously published in 2021 – Aquarius Season is now just beginning!) Aquarius Season has come to an end, and with it the second round of my #BookishAstrology challenge. Each month on Instagram, I am sharing four astrology-themed prompts for whichever sign the sun is in or will enter shortly. I started off in late 2020 with Capricorn, and was so happy to have a few bookstagram friends join me on my adventure. Let’s look at the prompts and which books they chose for each week!
5. #BookishAstrology – Books We Chose for #Pisces Season
(Previously published in 2021 – Pisces Season is now just beginning!) Pisces Season has come to an end, and with it the second round of my #BookishAstrology challenge.
4. Top Ten Tuesday: New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2021
This week’s theme is New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2021. There are so many, and I’ll choose the ones that were among my favorites just by scrolling through my Goodreads and finding ten standouts! These are alphabetical order by last name, and trust me, I easily could list even more. (And I want to note – coincidentally, the ten authors I have chosen are all women!)
3. Ultimate Guide to Book Blogging
Some book bloggers might choose to avoid running a website. Booktube is the term used by book vloggers on YouTube. Bookstagram is the hashtag on Instagram, and the detailed reviews in captions often are written by those who use Instagram as a blogging platform. Detailed Goodreads reviews and booktok posts on TikTok could also be considered book blogging and vlogging in their own way.
2. WWW Wednesday: February 23, 2022
My audiobook: The Witches by Stacy Schiff
My ebook: The Tsarina’s Daughter by Ellen Alpsten and Electric Idol by Katee Robert.
My physical book: Crystals for Beginners: The Guide to Get Started With the Healing Power of Crystals by Karen Frazier, Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom: A Tarot Journey to Self-Awareness by Rachel Pollack, and Sentience by Courtney Hunter.
1. Top Ten Tuesday: Best Books I Read in 2021
This week’s theme is Best Books I Read in 2021. There are still a few days left in the year, so I suppose something could completely blow my mind between now and then… But here at the 10 that are the frontrunners so far! (Note: I am not counting rereads for this particular post.)
Thank you for reading my book reviews and other bookish posts and supporting my blog!
